The SPAINRANGE team of the Canigó School in Barcelona will participate in the final of Young Business Talents, next April 29th in Madrid.
Entrepreneurship at Canigó school
The group formed by the students: Elena Anguera, Lucía Giner and Lucía de Beascoa qualified for the Young Business Talents to be held this spring in Madrid.
In their Economics class, the 1st year Baccalaureate students have had a unique experience through a business simulator of the automotive industry. This program has allowed them to practice making all kinds of decisions within a company.
Our students had the opportunity to manage a car manufacturing company. After choosing between three models (mid-size sedan, large sedan and SUV) the participants created eight different versions of each car. In addition, the students have decided on the type of engine -combustion, electric or hybrid- and the features, the finishes, etc. And all this in a market with many other teams competing!
Every week, the students of the Canigó school would analyse and adjust the plans within the simulator. Participation in the Young Business Talents has allowed them to accurately reproduce what happens in the business world and, in addition, to run a company performing fundamental tasks such as analysis, design, execution and control.
In short, the students of the Canigó school have enjoyed an authentic “business laboratory” putting into practice management, operational administration and leadership.
The students themselves acknowledge that this experience has been very enriching. Through a strategic plan and hard work, they have managed to reach the final.
Congratulations team and good luck in Madrid!
