Canigó’s Department of Orientation offers psychopedagogical attention to students, as well as help and advice to parents and teachers, in those aspects related to academic, personal and social development.

This psychopedagogical work has the following goals:

Performing a psychopedagogical diagnosis to more objectively determine the characteristics of each student and their potential. To carry out this work, the Department possesses evaluation and diagnostic instruments adapted to each school stage. All this in close collaboration with the tutors and with the consent of the parents.

Monitoring difficulties

Monitoring difficulties

Monitoring students with various difficulties throughout their schooling, helping in the implementation of curricular adaptations, collaborating with external centres and specialists for students referred by the centre and meeting the educational needs of the students that so require. Always in collaboration with parents and teachers.

Psychopedagogical reinforcement

Psychopedagogical reinforcement

Offering psychopedagogical reinforcement, such as reading writing or study techniques, and speech therapy in specific academic courses and with more individualised attention for each student.

Advice to teachers

Advice to teachers

Advising teachers by promoting their participation in lectures and refresher courses, providing them with more specialised approaches; advising parents and students, according to the needs and stages.
