Canigó has won first prize in the “The Law and You” Contest for Social Responsibility of the Legal Profession, with a project about the new Law of Animal Protection.
Last year the X edition of the “Law and you” contest was called. It was organized by the law buffet Roca Junyent. In this edition several groups of 4th of ESO from Canigó participated and three of them classified for the final.

The contest “Law and you” is geared towards students from 3d and 4th of ESO. It promotes thinking about certain laws in Spain for our youngsters. These laws make it easier to live together and well being in an attempt to make Law visible as a shaper of relationships between people and social coexistence.
This edition’s final was celebrated in Madrid at the Rafael del Pino Auditorium,on the 27th of october, once the external prestigious professionals jury chose the winning projects.
In the first sessions, legal professionals explain to students the civic value of laws and regulations and the importance of its compliance to facilitate harmonious and orderly coexistence in society.
They are suggested to look for a topic, any law that they know or do not know in which they want to deepen into as well as to analyze that law from both sides: who it benefits and who it damages, which pros and cons it has. They try to do this without positioning themselves with the law.
The three projects from Canigo’s ESO students who went on the final are about the new Law of Animal Protection, Abortion Law and Parity Law.
