In Fomento we walk families along in the education of their children from the very beginning. Therefore this course begins the project “Growing up together” addressed to families with children in preschool. The project “Growing up together” provides families with keys, tools and resources that allow them to educate their children and help them grow up happily.
The project “Growing up together” is developed throughout the year’s meetings. Also, through the family interviews which will facilitate the project customization for the optimal development of each student.
Showing the characteristics of each age, the sessions will present different emotional management habits and skills as well as important issues such as self-esteem, autonomy or empathy.
Growing together, growing up happy: family-school collaboration
The project “Growing up together” is complementary to the innovation project “Growing up happy”, aimed at kindergarten and early primary students. This is a project of values, habits and emotions for the comprehensive development of students. The joint development of these two projects is a demonstration about the importance of family and school collaboration.
The first years of a child’s life are decisive for habit’and virtue’s acquisitions. Therefore, through the project “Growing up happy” the students work different habits which are distributed in three blocks: autonomy, respect and social skills. To promote complete training, students participate in this project both at school and at home, counting on the parents as their first educators.
Just as in “Growing up happy”, “Growing up together” is a training project promoted by Fomento of Teaching Centers. Like so many other projects, it arises from the faculty experience and research along with the promotion of the Director of Education that promotes new ways and content to constantly respond to the needs arisen by current education.
