This year something very special will take place: the 60th anniversary of Fomento. We have been accompanying families on their most valuable task: their children’s education. We must look at the past in order to get excited with the present and dream about the future. We have lots of reasons to celebrate and be thanked for during this year.
60 years accompanying families in their children's education
Fomento de Centros de Enseñanza was created in 1963 by a group of families and educators who wanted schools for their children (as well as the ones from many other families) that could offer a good academic, human and christian formation.
Encouraged by the teachings of saint Josemaría, they promoted education centers in which they could offer a coherent education along with the one they received back home as well as an education in which parents played a main role.
Ahlzahir, the first school of Fomento opened its doors in Córdobawith 108 students. Nowadays, 60 years later, Fomento has 35 schools in 11 Comunidades Autónomas, 19 Kid ‘s Garden and Universidad Villanuev
