Last Thursday, March 30, the graduation ceremony for the 55 students of the 2nd Baccalaureate of the promotion Estela II took place.
The event was presided over by the director of the Canigó school, Marga Acín; the deputy director of Secondary and Baccalaureate, Esther Hors; the president of the Parents Association, Luis Jover, and the president of Canigó Alumni, Marta Beriain. The eventl was also attended by Juan Ignacio Marull Guasch, economist, MBA from IE Business School and partner in charge of PwC in Catalonia and Andorra.
Juan Ignacio Marull delivered the keynote speech with the suggestive title: Today could be a great day.
After congratulating the students, their parents and their teachers on graduating, he encouraged them to always feel grateful to the school, to all the people who are part of it, and to feel the pride in belonging to Canigo.
Marull Gouache focused especially on one aspect: the attitude. “Training is key to your development and it must always be continuous. The experience that you will accumulate will help you shape your training tactics; but the attitude that you put into your actions will be the great differential factor and, what is more important, it will produce a multiplier effect in you and in the people who surround you.”
He pointed out the 10 aspects that he considers key to having a good attitude:
1- Have solid values: have a firm and lasting commitment, live these values authentically and in the spirit of sacrifice; it will become the norm for those who make it a common practice
2- Know yourself.
3- Culture of effort and work capacity.
4- Passion and ability to dream: he encouraged them to have dreams, enthusiasm, dream big and do everything in your power to achieve it; because success is not in getting it, success is in the passion that you invest along the way to try to achieve it.
5- A positive attitude, optimism, sense of humor and being a generator of enthusiasm: one has to live intensely, seize opportunities to learn with people and from people, fill the backpack with experiences and transmit enthusiasm. Go through life with a smile. It costs the same and is nicer.
6- Embrace change: without it, there is no innovation, there is no overcoming, there is no improvement. One has to change something every day, take risks and have a desire for change.
7- Take advantage of new leadership systems: positive and responsible, with integrity and that inspires others.
8- Continuous learning.
9- Have a purpose and commit: put your talents at the service of society and contribute to trying to leave a better world than the one you found yourself in.
10- Balance in personal life: have a full personal life, not only of time and activities, but of personal and family objectives. You have to permeate your personal and professional life. There are no two lives in balance, there is only one in perfect balance and harmony.
The promotion delegates, Elizabeth Cardona and Sofia Masiá, spoke some endearing words remembering anecdotes from the years they spent at school, encouraging the rest of their classmates to share what they received and thanking parents and teachers for all these years.
