Last January 15, the Benjamin team of Canigo, of 4º of Primary, won the victory after an intense weekend in which they enjoyed an exciting sport’s party of the school.
During that weekend final CEEB cup matches were held at the La Mar Bella sports facilities in Barcelona under the Benjamín, Juvenile and Child categories.
The CEEB Cup is a competition that is offered to team sports disciplines with more participation (basketball, 5-a-side soccer, 7-a-side soccer, handball, volleyball). It runs alongside the regular leagues of the Barcelona Sports Council.
Education in values through sport at Colegio Canigó
From the Canigó charter school sport practice is promoted and basketball is a success among the students. The extracurricular basketball school has more than 200 students and has teams in each category; in addition to two pre-quarry and quarry teams. This type of activity helps develop technical and tactical motor skills which involves this sporting practice, in addition to working in coexistence with group dynamics.
Education in values, typical of the educational project of the Canigó school is also promoted through sport. Values like team work, joy and cooperation are an essential part of the game.
