As has been the tradition, in Canigo we have lived the Cultural and literary days for the occasion of the Saint George 2023 celebration.
The students of the Canigó school have dedicated various days of April to different cultural, artistic, literary activities and musicals. With them we have celebrated Saint George’s Day, international book day, so deeply rooted in Catalonia.
Canigó school celebrates St George's Day 2023
The Kindergarten and Pre-school students of the Canigó trilingual school, have dedicated this cultural week to the most popular literary tales through stories, theater, crafts, costumes and games.
The students of primary school have represented different theater plays for the families of their classes. In addition, they have met the author of the book “The Adventures of Captain Snake”, Alexia Basso, Canigó Alumni of the promotion Barlovento. Alexia explained to them in first person how the idea for the book was born, the origin of each of the characters, etc. And they were able to take home signed copies of the novel!
Thanks to the TROA bookstore the students were able to see and acquire the latest in children’s literature. They enjoyed working as a team, participating in artistic activities and giving an impulse to taste for reading with storytellers and oratory activities among colleagues.
The students of ESO and Baccalaureate have also participated in different activities in the three languages -Catalan, Spanish and English- through a public speaking tournament, Theater displays, recital of poems, a conference, and the already yearly awards ceremony, enlivened by various musical interpretations by the students of the Music school.
